1. Pitch and Contact Size

The pitch determines the connector's current capacity and physical footprint:

2.5mm pitch (XH, EH, SM series): Signal-level connections, 3A max. Used for control boards, sensors, and display connections.
3.96mm pitch (VH series): Medium power, 7A max. Common for power supply connections to control boards.
4.2mm pitch (5557/5559 series): Power connections, 9A per circuit. Used for motor drivers and higher-current subsystems.

2. Housing Material

Material choice affects safety certification and long-term reliability:

PBT GF: Glass-fiber reinforced, higher rigidity. Used in automotive-grade connectors. Temperature range: -40°C to +125°C.
Nylon 66: General purpose, lower cost. Suitable for non-critical internal connections.

3. Contact Material and Plating

Phosphor bronze: Best electrical performance, higher cost. Recommended for high-cycle applications.
Brass: Good conductivity, lower cost. Suitable for most home appliance applications.
